Add the yeast directly to the mash and avoid problems
Most problems with whisky mash fermentation are from wild fermentation or infection in the mash. The use of stater culture is mostly causing this: it has to be sterile. This type of failure can happen to anyone. Our whiskey yeast contains enough yeast cells to start without a culture. Just sprinkle the yeast on the surface of the room-tempered mash, wait 15 minutes, and then mix it with the mash.

A sachet of yeast weight only 25 grams. So we ship world wide with very affordable freight cost. If you order a larger packet, for example a 10 or 25 pack, you will also get highly volume discounted prices, and the freight per sachet will be very small.

How long can the yeast be stored?
The yeast keep its full power for 1 year. If stored in the fridge (recommended), it keeps its full power for 3 years.

Is the yeast labeled as whisky yeast?
No. As we ship worlddwide with different regulations in different countries, as a whisky yeast label could make a government bureau crazy in some countries. We keep a low profile on the yeast sachet. The yeast is send as samples. It is called WD-yeast only, a very simple sachet sample, no fancy label. The yeast is also great for making diabetic beer, it ferments out all the sugar in the beer.
